Monday 8-31-15 **WE SURVIVED!!!!

Oh Monday.  You‘re back again,  and all too quickly! This last weekend was spent once again moving stuff. I’m really pleased with the progress we have made.  All we have left to move is our Bedroom set, last minute kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, clothing, and of coarse, the animals.

We are moving the rest over this next weekend since it’s a 3 day weekend.  I love 3 day weekends,  I feel like I always accomplish way more during a 3 day weekend than I ever do in a regular 2 day weekend.  We are moving a bit ahead of schedule,  but I figured that will give us enough time to do last minute things, like a good scrub down of the house, and patching and painting all nail holes from where pictures once hung.

Now that my house is most of the way empty it really doesn’t feel like home anymore.  It was the first house my husband and I bought together so it’s a little sentimental selling it.  But the family that’s buying it seems like a good family, and soon our house will once again be filled with happiness, laughter, and family.  Life is good.

Today marks a big day for Texans,  and I am participating just like all other native Texans!  Blue Bell is back on the shelves people!!!!!!  In honor of this momentous occasion,  I’m very strongly contemplating just doing big bowls of ice cream for dinner.  I know, I know.  Not even remotely healthy – but we have survived the great Blue Bell famine folks! That alone is call for celebration!

Now for some girly stuff ;-)

Here is my OOTD:

I’m wearing a white dress from Old Navy (because summer’s not over yet people!)  and an old pair of Naturalizer shoes from Famous Footwear.  The necklace and earrings are from my Wantable subscription,  and the belt I believe was an Amazon find.

Happy Thursday! August 27th, 2015

Happy Thursday!  Today was pretty uneventful. I'm ok with that.  I will keep today's post short and sweet, and then it's back to packing I go!

Today's OOTD was inspired by the slightly cooler temps we are getting in the mornings right now.  There is a hint of fall in the air,  so that's how I dressed!

This dress is a retired GB dress, that I bought,  it's the "Brigette Dress"  by Cherry Velvet
they don't still have it in this lovely orange/coral type shade,  but they have a lot of other cute prints!

The jacket is the the Junarose jacket that GB currently has,  you can check it out here.

Shoes are at least 5 years old from Famous Footwear.

My FOTD turned out very well today, I went a lot more mellow than yesterday:

Here is my product list:

-Younique Divine Moisturizer
-Younique Glorious Face and Eye Primer
-Younique Touch Mineral Cream Foundation -- Taffeta
-Younique Touch Mineral Pressed Powder Foundation -- Chiffon
-Younique Beachfront Bronzer-- "Malibu"

It's Wednesday!!! (August 26th 2015)

Wow,  where is this week going?  Work has been busy (which I will take any day) life after work
has been busy, and the year has flown!  It's crazy how fast time flies by.  I have been told numerous times "oh just wait,  it gets faster as you get older".  I'm sure at some point in your life you have either been told that, or have told someone that.  Why is this?  Why does time seem to change, and evolve, and move on in a different way the older you get?  Technically it never changes.  You have 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week.  And yet, it seems to keep going by faster.  Weird.  Perhaps it's because we get so caught up in the hustle that we stop being thankful for the little moments in life. For example,  this evening after work I had a goal set in my mind for what all I wanted to get packed.  I find myself getting tired,  so I'm hurrying just to get it done (p.s. have I ever mentioned I HATE moving?!?!) and I turn around with a plate in my hand to wrap and pack, and this is what I see:

My first response (I'm ashamed to admit) was frustration.  Here I am,  trying to get done packing so I can relax for a bit before working on dinner and there is Milo. Right where I need to be. On the paper I need.  I take a deep breath and realize, wait a minute.  I need to take a lesson from Milo.  I need to stop and appreciate the fact that, while yes, I have things I need to accomplish......  I need to stop and "smell the roses".  This is the perfect opportunity to stop what I'm doing,  stop complaining about how much I don't like moving, and laugh.  Enjoy my cat, and his antics. Be thankful for the fact that I have stuff (and a lot of it) to have to pack and move.  So.  Today,  I'm thankful.  That's it.  I choose to be thankful, for everyone, everything, and every moment in my life.

Ok,  on to my OOTD:

I love the colors in this dress, and I find the style quite flattering! This dress is by IGIGI,  and I got it through Gwynnie Bee's try and buy program.  I got it and just couldn't bare to send this beauty back so I bought it!  You can see the details for it here.  I don't remember where I got the shoes,  but I have had them FOREVER, and they are only now almost to the point where I can wear them without them rubbing my heals raw! Lol

My FOTD I'm actually really excited with how it turned out! I got in a new eye shadow pallet and just had to utilize  it today!  The Urban Decay Electric pallet!!!  Look at these colors!

For today's look I used "Jilted" for the main colors, and "Revolt" on the inside corners of my eyes. I blended with some soft browns from my Kat Von D Monarch pallet. These colors are absolutely amazing!  I think they look gorgeous in this photo,  but let me assure you -- they are so much prettier in real life!  I can't decide which colors to use tomorrow.....  I'm thinking "Urban"  or maybe "Slowburn".  Hmmmm......

Anyway,  here is how my look turned out today:

Full product list:

-Younique Divine Moisturizer
-Younique Glorious Face and Eye Primer
-Younique Touch Mineral Pressed Powder Foundation -- Chiffon
-Younique Beachfront Bronzer-- "Sunset"
-NARS Blush in "Orgasm

-Eyeshadow is mainly the Urban Decay "Electric Pallet" and blended with
-Top Eyeliner – Younique Precision Pencil -- "Proper"

-Mascara is Too Faced "Better ThanSex" mascara
-False Lashes are KISS, seriously-- inexpensive, and so comfortable!

What do you think? Did I do as good as I think I did?

Tuesday!!!! August 25th, 2015

You know,  I have always felt a little sorry for Tuesdays. Tuesday is the "nobody" of the week.

You have Monday,  which most people dread,  but at least people have feelings towards it!

You have Wednesday -- Everyone is always so excited for "hump day" since it means the week is halfway over.

You have Thursday -- When your starting to see the end in site.... It's almost Friday!

Then you have FRIDAY!  Everyone loves Friday,  it marks the end of the work week, and the start of your fun.

Then comes Saturday,  the most favored day of the week.  This is your day, you can do whatever you want, or as little as you want,  it doesn't matter!

Then is Sunday,  the day you wake up thinking,  "crap, tomorrow is Monday again -- where did my weekend go?!?" So you get up and rush around doing all the things you do on weekends because you don't feel like doing them after work. Laundry, house cleaning, grocery shopping.  It's a day full of purpose.

But Tuesday.  It's a little day stuck in there that doesn't have any feelings attached to it.  Poor little guy, I will say that for the most part Tuesdays have been good to me. Tuesdays are normally uneventful, and I'm very ok with that.  Today was no exception.  Got up, showered, did my hair and makeup, and got ready for my work day. Went to work (despite the nice little wreck on 290 this morning that slowed traffic way down) did my job,  came home and worked on packing up my kitchen for the move (have I ever mentioned that I HATE moving?!?) and now I'm taking a couple minutes to relax with my feet up before starting dinner for my hubby who has been working long hours and should be getting off work in a few minutes.  It's been a good day!

Ok,  now for my OOTD:

I got this lovely little dress from City Chic again,  I'm telling you,  check their website on a regular basis,  when they run sales they are so totally amazing!  I got this dress for $10!

Rainy Dreary Thursday

Thursday August 20th, 2015

So this sums up what today will be pretty well:

Weather like this makes me want to curl up in bed with a large mug of hot chocolate and indulge in Netflixing.  And before you yell at me for using a word that is not in the dictionary, here is your definition:

I've been through all the seasons of Grey's Anatomy on Netflix, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next season to air, it's set for September 24th!  I'm counting down!  So now I'm watching Private Practice, and loving it!  If you haven't seen it, and are a Grey's Anatomy fan,  you need to look it up!  Here is the gist of it:
"Neonatal surgeon Addison Montgomery escapes from a dysfunctional love triangle, leaving her friends and foes at Seattle Grace Hospital behind for a fresh start in Los Angeles, where she joins a trendy public clinic run by her recently divorced friends, Sam and Naomi Bennett."
You get guest appearances from some of the key players in Grey's Anatomy,  and the story line intertwines
itself with what you have already heard from Grey's.
So,  on to my OOTD and FOTD for today.  I'm wearing PANTS today!  I pretty much never wear pants anymore....  My wardrobe is mainly dresses and skirts for work,  but not today!
 Here is my OOTD:

My Look:

-> Top  I got on clearance from City Chic,  I just looked and I didn't see it on there
anymore,  but seriously,  if you haven't checked them out, you need to! www.citychiconline.com

you can get $20 free to spend by following this link:  http://www.thredup.com/r/ZFWARX

-> The Necklace I got from this amazing subscription box called "Wantable" they have several different
subscriptions you can pick from.  This came in the "Accessories" subscription box.  You take a quiz so they know what your style preferences are, then once a month they send you a box with goodies in it!  I'm addicted to subscription boxes,  and Wantable is so much fun! You can check their different subscription boxes out here: https://www.wantable.com/

Ok,  now for my FOTD:

My Makeup today is fairly simple,  I didn't do any elaborate colors because I did my makeup

Wednesday, August 19th 2015 OOTD / FOTD

Wednesday, August 19th 2015

Happy Wednesday Folks!  I for one am very thankful that today is here!  It means there are only 2 more days until the weekend.  Do you have any special plans for the weekend?
For us, it will be a busy weekend. We are selling our house in Cypress,  and moving back to the country!  So,  slotted for this weekend we will be packing and moving the rest of our home office into storage, taking down our fish tank (sob),  as well as packing and moving our good china and crystal along with our china cabinet.
Also we have honey bees in our back yard!  That's the only thing our home inspection prior to the sale of our home turned up.  So Saturday morning we have someone coming out to remove and relocate our bees!
I'm hopeful that we will get some time to relax in there somewhere!

So,  What I really set out to write about today is my outfit and makeup for the day.  I'm totally loving how this look came together!

OK,  here are the outfit details:

-The skirt is Lane Bryant

Both of which I got from an amazing online resale shop that I am head over

brand stuff for women and kids (I get 99% of Aidan's clothes on there and pay
a fraction of what the stuff cost originally) and I have found a number of steals
there!   If you are interested in checking it out, follow this link: http://www.thredup.com/r/ZFWARX
if you do,  you will get $20 FREE that you can spend!

-The Top is the IGIGI Miley Top In Peony Floral.  You can rent this top from Gwynnie Bee (see previous
post for a link to check it out and get a free month of the service)   Here is the link so you can see the

-The Black Tank is a simple spaghetti strap top I got from City Chic,  another one of the amazing brands I discovered thanks to GB.  I don't think they still have this exact one,  however I highly recommend checking out their site. www.citychiconline.com They will regularly run their "outlet" sales and you can get amazing deals there!

Now,  for the makeup!

No filter on these photos!  I'm loving the way this turned out today, and I'm totally breaking the rule
that blue eyes can't wear blue/grey eyeshadow!

Gwynnie Bee

Have you ever heard of Gwynnie Bee? Yeah -- I hadn't either.  Let me give you the scoop!

I would say that Gwynnie Bee (GB) is single-handedly responsible for me becoming the fashionista
that I am now.  I have best heard GB described as "Netflix for Clothes".  The concept is simple, Plus
Size Clothing Rental (sizes 10 and up) . I first saw the add on facebook,  it said that one of my friends like the page.  So, I clicked on it to see what this was all about.  Upon further investigation it became clear to me that this was something I had to try!

The sign-up process was easy, then behold -- tons and tons of amazing clothes right there in front of me! In my size!  All I had to do was go through their extensive online catalog and "closet" the things I wanted to try! That's it!  Then I sit back and wait.  Now,  there are several different plans you can choose from,  I started out small,  optimistic that this was gonna be oh-so-fun! They have plans that start at $59 per month.  This service allows you to have a large, exciting online closet to drool over.  As items come back to their warehouse that you have requested in your size, they will send a shipment to you.  You wear the clothes, then throw them back in the blue bag that came with your shipment, and drop it off at a Mail Drop Box.  That's it.  NO LAUNDRY!!!!! Hallelujah! Have I ever mentioned I despise laundry?

There is also an amazing group of ladies I have met online thanks to this great company!  We chat daily and build each other up, giving and receiving advise on everything from whether to put a belt on a dress, to more personal family problems.  These women are amazing!

So,  in short, I thank GB for introducing me to amazing brands of clothing I had no clue existed before, and to the ladies of GB for encouraging the fasionista side of me to full blossom!

If I have you intrigued enough,  click here to check it out:   http://goo.gl/XFoVsR

I recently had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot for GB,  and had so much fun!  They should be publishing it before too long!   In the mean time here is a sneak peak from my shoot:

A Little More About Me

Hi Guys!!!   I figured my first post should be a little more introductory than just the
little bit about me you find on the front page.

I'm Paddee -- It's a younique spelling that as I have gotten older I have learned to appreciate. It's a family name, I'm actually the 3rd "Paddee" in my family.  My great Aunt Paddee started the trend. She didn't like her birth name at all, and while doing research on our family tree she discovered that there is a good deal of Irish blood in us.  She also discovered in her research that "Paddee" is the proper Irish spelling of the feminine for "Patrick".  She really liked the spelling and the history behind it and so she legally changed her name.  The second "Paddee" is my Aunt Paddee (my mother's sister) and now me!

I was born in Austin Texas in the summer of 1990.  I was raised an only child, it wasn't until later in life that I discovered I actually have an older sister :-)  Our house in Austin was modest,  but I had an amazing backyard that I grew up playing in. We lived in Austin until fall of 2001.  Earlier in the year my parents inherited my dad's family farm in Waller Texas. That fall my dad got laid off from his job,  so since the farm was completely paid for,  we move!  I couldn't have been happier......  Well.....  I kept asking my parents for a horse, and their answer remained the same "honey-- we would love for you to have a horse, but we just
can't afford it right now".  Fast forward to winter 2004 / 2005 and I had saved my money and I bought my own horse --- Flag.  Flag is my baby boy,  he was born in 2003 to one of my good friends at the time. From the minute he was born I knew he was my boy.

Since then,  I have acquired now a total of 13 horses and a donkey (Hehaw)

I will introduce you to my other horses in another post.

I spent a few years breaking in young horses,  and enjoyed it. But as I got older I realized
the importance of a stable job,  and things like health insurance.  In December of 2008 I got a job working for a company called Intertec.  I was the receptionist -- and it was just going to be a temporary job.  When I started working here I had a boyfriend, I had a plan.  Little did I know that it was all going to change.

When I started at Intertec everyone told me to stay away from Daniel. Daniel was a shop worker at that time. Everyone said he wasn't my kinda guy. He had a newborn baby boy, and he just wasn't the type of guy that you marry and settled down with. To be honest,  I was ok with this.  I mean,  like I mentioned before I had a boyfriend. I was only going to be working at Intertec for a short while, and then I was moving out of state and would never see anyone from Intertec again.  Well,  by February it was getting close to when I was supposed to move,  and I was starting to second guess everything I had previously had so firmly set in my mind.  The weekend before Valentines I broke up with my boyfriend.  (I know -- really shitty timing,  but I just couldn't do it anymore).

Since probably around the beginning of January Daniel had been asking me to let him take me out on a date. Once I broke up with my boyfriend I figured what the heck.  What's going on one date going to do?  So Valentines night we went to the Valentines dinner together at my parents church.  Our next date was about a week later I think -- we went to the movie theater to see Paul Blart - Mall Cop. After that he drove me all the way back out to my parents farm.

It's pretty humorous now thinking back.  I didn't have the intention of anything happening there.  But we ended up getting serious.  September of 2013 (after dating for 5 years) we went on a cruise to the Bahamas where Daniel proposed to me on a private island!  Of coarse I said yes!
We got married October 18, 2014 and spent a week in Ireland for our Honeymoon!

We have now been happily married for almost a year, and are planning a cruise for our 1 year anniversary this October!

We have some great plans for the future,  I'm excited to share them with you as we go along!
We are selling our house,  closing in September, and temporarily moving in with my parents while
our next house is being built on my parents land! I'm so excited to leave the city life behind again and be back out in the country!

Remember that new born baby of Daniel's I mentioned earlier?  Well he is now a super cute just turned
7 year old! Aidan is so much like his father it's a little scary! Being a Step-Mom is one of the most challenging things I have ever done before, but its so rewarding.  I recently saw something on the internet that struck so true with me "I may not have given you the gift of life,  but life gave me the gift of you".
I love my little man with all my heart <3

Now,  a little about our 4 legged children and I will be done for now :-)

Milo I got 2 years ago now from one of my dear friends who had had Milo since he was a little bitty kitten. She discovered her son had a sever allergy to cat dander,  so she had to get Milo a new home.

Milo is the biggest, goofiest love bug you will ever meet.  This cat has an obsession with bubble wrap, cardboard boxes, plastic grocery bags, and drinking out of the faucet. If you ignore him when he wants attention he will "bap" you with his paw to get your attention.
Melanie I got from the SPCA about 2 months after we got Milo.  She was super shy,  but I fell in love with her coloration.  She has since decided that being pet and loved on is pretty alright.  If you ignore her she will sit and loudly "meow" to let you know that your ignoring her.  But DON'T pick her up.  Her feet leave the floor/table/counter and she panics. She sleeps all day, and gets very little food (her vet has her on a strict diet) yet she remains a chubby little thing.

Lastly,  Xena.  Our Dorkie puppy!  She was an accident.  My cousin's Yorkie got bred by their male Dachshund,  and out came some Dorkie puppies!  She will be a year old September 2nd!  This little thing is the most loving and affectionate thing.  She loves to cuddle,  and she insists on sleeping in bed with us, under the covers.  She is such a character!  She and Milo love playing together while Melanie Refs.

So that's me,  and my family, and my background!  I look forward to putting more thoughts down, and sharing more with you!  Thanks for stopping by!
